El auyama es recomendada como uno de los primeros alimentos para bebés. También como comida suave para convalecientes, y como sustituto de los víveres para diabéticos.

Receta 'Flan' de Auyama (Calabaza) | Te invitamos a probar este plato el cual es fácil de preparar y sabe delicioso, como una mezcla entre majarete y flan.














En este presentación en postre el auyama, que tiene un sabor naturalmente dulzón, se presta muy bien para este plato. La combinación de especias y pasas ayuda mucho a destacar al sabor sutil del auyama. Y para servir hay muchas opciones. Puedes servir el flan con crema batida, frutas o como en este caso, ambas más una deliciosa salsa de guayaba.

‘Flan’ de Auyama (Calabaza) – Receta
Preparación: 15 mins
Cocción: 30 mins
Tiempo Total: 45 mins
‘Flan’ de Auyama (Calabaza) – Receta:
Te invitamos a probar este plato el cual es fácil de preparar y sabe delicioso, como una mezcla entre majarete y flan. Sirve: 6 porciones
  • 1 cucharadita de mantequilla (para engrasar el molde)
  • 2 lb [0.9 kg] de auyama , pelada
  • 1/2 cucharadita de sal
  • 1 cucharadita de canela en polvo
  • 3 tazas de leche evaporada (o entera)
  • 1 taza de azúcar
  • 5 cucharadas de fécula de maíz
  • 1/2 taza de pasas
  1. Engrasa con mantequilla un molde para flan.
  2. Hierve la auyama sal hasta que ablanden.
  3. Saca del agua y deja enfriar la auyama a temperatura ambiente.
  4. Licúa la auyama, canela, leche, azúcar y fécula de maíz.
  5. En un caldero agrega esta mezcla y las pasas, cuece a fuego bajo bajo moviendo constantemente para evitar que se pegue al fondo. Cuando la mezcla esté suficientemente espesa para pegarse al fondo de la cuchara (unos 10 minutos) retira del fuego.
  6. Vierte en el molde y deja enfriar a temperatura ambiente.
  7. Pon en el refrigerador unos dos horas antes de desmoldar.
  8. Sirve frío decorado con crema, frutas o salsa de frutas.
